Manager, Accounting (Laboratory Operations)

A growing healthcare laboratory services organization is seeking an Accounting Manager to lead a financial accounting team supporting laboratory operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the accounting and financial reporting team located in DeLand
• Manage the monthly close process, ensuring journal entries and reporting are accurate and timely
• Review financial transactions for compliance with GAAP, SOX, and internal financial policies
• Oversee accounts payable activities and balance sheet reconciliations
• Review reconciliations and accounts receivable responses for accuracy
• Prepare executive-level financial presentations and reporting packages
• Analyze financial statements and explain key variances and performance drivers
• Provide financial and operational analysis to support leadership decisions
• Partner with operational leaders to understand business needs and develop solutions
• Lead or support cross-functional process improvement initiatives
• Contribute to budgeting and forecasting support when needed
• Ensure high-quality analytical outputs and assist with special projects as assigned

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• Minimum 2 years of leadership or management experience
• Strong understanding of GAAP and SOX compliance
• Demonstrated experience reviewing month-end close processes
• Strong financial analysis and business process evaluation skills
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
