Job description

An outpatient healthcare team in Portland, Oregon is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist to provide skilled evaluation and treatment for patients with a broad range of communication and related functional needs.

This position is responsible for developing individualized treatment plans based on each patient's diagnosis, functional abilities, age-related considerations, and rehabilitation potential.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate patients and identify speech, language, communication, and related therapy needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized plans of care based on clinical findings and patient goals.
  • Provide skilled speech and language pathology interventions for patients with diverse diagnoses and disabilities.
  • Modify treatment approaches based on patient progress, functional ability, and individual needs.
  • Provide professional consultation and collaborate with other members of the healthcare team.
  • Maintain appropriate clinical documentation and follow applicable professional and organizational standards.
  • Address specialized speech/language pathology needs when required by the department.
  • Deliver patient-centered care while considering physical, developmental, and age-related factors.

Requirements

  • Master's degree or Ph.D. from an accredited Speech/Language Pathology program, or equivalent education and experience meeting professional requirements.
  • Specialized speech/language pathology coursework or training appropriate to departmental needs.
  • Active Oregon Speech Language Pathologist license upon hire.
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification upon hire.
  • Approximately 1-2 years of relevant experience.
  • Ability to meet specialized speech/language pathology experience requirements associated with the department.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience providing speech/language pathology services in an outpatient healthcare environment.
  • Experience working collaboratively within an interdisciplinary clinical team.

Compensation and Details

  • Salary to be discussed.
  • $5,000 sign-on bonus for eligible candidates who meet applicable qualifications and payment conditions.
