Job description
We are seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner to provide comprehensive clinical care in an occupational and primary care setting. This day-shift position focuses on preventive services, wellness evaluations, acute and chronic condition management, workplace health, and patient education.
The provider will work within established clinical protocols and collaborate with supervising physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop appropriate, evidence-based treatment plans.
Responsibilities
- Conduct pre-employment examinations and annual wellness physicals.
- Evaluate and treat patients presenting with illnesses and injuries.
- Assess and manage acute and chronic health conditions using evidence-based clinical guidelines.
- Develop and implement treatment plans within established physician protocols.
- Provide preventive health screenings and disease-prevention services.
- Support occupational health programs, including oversight of respirator and hearing testing performed by clinic staff.
- Perform age-appropriate patient assessments and interventions.
- Educate patients, provide health coaching, and advocate for their healthcare needs.
- Order diagnostic studies and interpret results as appropriate.
- Monitor patient progress and evaluate treatment effectiveness.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare professionals and coordinate referrals when necessary.
- Maintain timely and accurate patient documentation in the electronic medical record.
- Practice according to professional, ethical, regulatory, and scope-of-practice requirements.
Requirements
- Board Certified Nurse Practitioner with an active and unrestricted applicable license.
- Certified Physician Assistants may also be considered.
- At least 1 year of clinical experience in family medicine, internal medicine, or urgent care.
- Current BLS certification.
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, clinical team members, organizational leadership, and senior stakeholders.
- Strong interpersonal and patient-service skills.
- Ability to follow established clinical procedures and written instructions.
- Ability to work independently, adapt to changing priorities, and address varied clinical and operational needs.
- Patient-centered approach with compassion and professionalism.
