Lead Mammography Technologist

About the Role

You will join a newly?opened position at a breast imaging center in The Woodlands. This full?time, in?person role is day shift (Monday-Friday 7:00 a?3:30 p and rotating Saturday 7:00 a?1:00 p), with no holidays and no on?call. You'll perform mammography exams in a freshly renovated, collaborative environment and take on a leadership/clinical?expert role within the Imaging Services department.

What You'll Do

• Lead and coordinate the mammography team, working closely with staff, physicians, and other departments to ensure smooth workflow, high?quality care, and compliance with standards.
• Monitor dashboards/quality controls (e.g., MQSA compliance, QC binders, order completion, missing information for radiologists) and ensure readiness for audits and daily operations.
• Make daily assignments and oversee throughput, equipment maintenance, supply stocking, incident reporting, and shift reports; act as a mentor/preceptor for technologists; contribute to process improvement initiatives.
• Serve as a liaison for patients, families, staff and physicians; promote patient?centered care, excellent customer relations, risk reduction, and departmental quality.

Skills & Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology
• Holds ARRT certification in Mammography (M) and Radiologic Technology (R)
• Holds Basic or Advanced Life Support Certification
• Licensed by the Texas Medical Board (MRT)
• Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Mammography Technologist in an acute hospital or ambulatory setting
• Excellent technical skills across all age groups and conditions; proven leadership abilities; ability to lift/maneuver patients with assistance
• Strong organizational, time?management, interpersonal and customer?service skills; positive attitude and compassionate approach
